Vehicle Barriers

Wireless Lock

The Onity Wireless Lock (OWL) from Onity of Duluth, Georgia, provides efficient, cost-effective security for all locations within a facility. The controller technology is built into the lock to provide a smart, inexpensive solution to door wiring and network infrastructure. The OWL offers decision making at the lock. Because it employs standalone power and an intelligent on-board internal database, the system allows facilities to secure rooms for up to 5,000 cardholders. It continues to operate even when power and network connectivity are lost. The OWL uses the OPEN interface, allowing integration with third-party access control systems.

 


Dome Camera

Vicon Industries of Hauppauge, New York, has introduced the new 1080P Surveyor HD PTZ dome, featuring a two-megapixel lens with 18x optical zoom. The camera’s ONVIF interface provides interoperability with open platform VMS solutions from many manufacturers, while the dome’s proven high-performance design features continuous, high-speed 360-degree panning, as well as scheduling of tours and presets. The WDR day/night camera provides dual encoding, with simultaneous streams of H.264 or M-JPEG video. Indoor, outdoor, pressurized, and impact-resistant models are offered with a variety of mounting options.
 


Information Security

Research Electronics International (REI) of Algood, Tennes­see, provides equipment and technology to protect against the loss of intangible assets and intellectual property. The OSCOR Blue Spectrum Analyzer performs RF signal acquisition and analysis at speeds of 24 GHz per second, detecting unknown, illegal, and disruptive rogue transmissions across a wide frequency spectrum. The TALAN Telephone and Line Analyzer inspects, analyzes, and tests digital telephone lines and other wiring for taps and other eavesdropping devices. The ORION Non-Linear Junction Evaluator detects hidden electronic devices, regardless of whether the device is radiating, hard wired, or even turned off. The company’s Center for Technical Security offers the largest commercially available technical surveillance countermeasures training facility in the world.


Slat-Wall Console

New Slat-Wall Consoles from Minneapolis-based Winsted Corporation feature a 15-inch-tall slat wall for mounting monitors and other accessories. Built on the same foundation as the company’s award-winning Sight-Line console, the new consoles are modular, configurable, and expandable to meet the changing needs of the control room. Users can choose from several monitor mounts for their needs. The panels add an element of privacy to each operator’s workspace. The slat wall is constructed of high-quality extruded 6105-T5 aluminum with a black anodized finish that is attractive and smooth to the touch.
