Web surfers are 41 percent more likely to visit malware-infected sites this year than last year, according to McAfee. In the second annual study, “Mapping the Web Revisited,” the countries with the highest percentage of malware-laden sites were also ranked. The riskiest country domain was Hong Kong (.hk), followed by China (.cn), the Philippines (.ph), Romania (.ro), and Russia (.ru). The safest national domains are Finland (.fi) and Japan (.jp).
