A Site to See: PassPub

Many people don’t secure their wireless router with a password. That could be a reason to visit PassPub, which can automatically generate passwords specifically tailored to the security protocols of wireless routers. Click on a link and a unique password is generated that’s long enough to ensure the integrity of 64- and 128-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) as well as 256-bit Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) wireless security.

The site also generates passwords for users that are secure and could be quicker to type: each has eight characters, including four character pairs located next to each other on the keyboard. Providing some different password-generating options, it’s this month’s Site to See.
