A federal appeals court has ruled that Sentia, a company that marketed a software program nearly identical to that of a competing company, Decision Insights, must stand trial on trade secret violation charges. An appeals court ruled that a jury must determine whether the compilation of the program’s components was protected and kept proprietary by Decision Insights.
