ACCESS BADGE

Visonic Technologies of Bloomfield, Connecticut, has introduced the Elpas Quad-Tech Personal Badge, a hybrid active-passive tag that ena­bles simultaneous real-time locating system (RTLS) and access control interoperability. The RTLS offers safety features, including duress-call signaling and visibility of location. In an emergency, the system informs responders as to the identity and location of an individual. The badge works as a standard proximity ID key with most access control systems and permits hands-free door operation at specific locations.
