The SmartLane is a third-generation optical portal from Automatic Systems of Port Washington, New York. The portal is powered by ASDAS platform, which provides an intelligent network of detection inputs. The detection system manages the detection of adults, children, disabled individuals, and accessories like luggage without human intervention. In case of power outage or emergency, the SmartLane can mechanically open and allow free evacuation; however, a battery backup continues to sense intruders. The portals’ classic oval shape and transparent glass barriers combine with state-of-the-art detection, faster operation, and more security options to complement modern lobbies. Various configurations, heights, and gates are available.
