IndigoVision of Edison, New Jersey, has released an upgrade to its 11000 series High Definition (HD) IP cameras, enabling real time motion analytics to run in the camera. Both fixed and pan-tilt-zoom cameras now offer both activity-control frame rate (ACF) and motion-detection analytics. ACF controls the frame rate of the camera video stream based on the amount of motion in the scene, reducing bandwidth and storage requirements. Motion detection can also be configured with direction, persistence, and rearm parameters. When specified motion is detected, an alarm alerts operators and can trigger other events, such as highlighting the camera location on a map.
