Camera Domes

New internal and external IP domes from IndigoVision of Edinburgh, Scotland, incorporate a Sony EXview HAD CCD sensor and MPEG-4 or H.264 compression. The IP66 vandal-resistant fixed domes offer a frame rate of 25/30 frames per second with an image quality that is as good as or better than an equivalent analog camera. They can be mounted on ceilings or walls and provide support for power-over Ethernet, allowing for lower installation costs. Each camera has options including PAL or NTSC formats, standard or telephoto lens, and a color or day/night sensor. The company has also released a major upgrade to its Control Center IP video and alarm management software, allowing users to implement advanced redundancy strategies for recording.
