Criminal identification

Following its acquisition of Amcrin Corporation, San Francisco-based 3VR Security, Inc., has announced that it has integrated Amcrin’s criminal database into its searchable surveillance system. The system is designed to help banks, retailers, and law enforcement identify criminals, expedite investigations, and share critical information to deter fraud. The CrimeDex criminal database integrates with face recognition analytics in 3VR Searchable Surveillance Systems to enable automated and collaborative alerts and information sharing. Combining shared video, search, and face recognition enables customers to instantly query a suspect against historical archives in both internal and shared watchlists of criminals, and the addition of the CrimeDex database instantly augments internal watchlists.
