Yale Locks and Hardware of Lenoir City, Tennessee, has introduced the Yale Real Living cylinderless deadbolt. The new lock upgrades security by eliminating the most vulnerable element of the lock, the cylinder. Without a cylinder, lock picking and bumping are virtually impossible. Users have access to a high degree of functionality, including the ability to lock and unlock doors from Web-enabled devices and to create customized entry scenes for specific visitors. The modular design allows the locks to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of security and home control systems. The locks have a durable acrylic touchscreen that is easy to use, and they support both Z-Wave and ZigBee.
