Day/night dome

Appears in the issue.

ELMO USA Corporation of Plainview, New York, has added power over Ethernet support to its ELMO TD4114IP II Day/Night network dome to eliminate the need for an external power source and reduce infrastructure requirements to a single cable. The camera allows identification of intruders, even at extremely low light levels. The camera requires only 0.5 lux for color images and 0.05 lux for black-and-white video. The unit includes a removable infrared cut filter, digital signal processing circuitry with a 1/3-inch IT 410,000 pixel CCD, and backlight compensation. A 4x digital zoom complements the 2.5- to 6.0-millimeter varifocal, auto iris lens to ensure detailed close-ups. Built-in multizone motion detection triggers the recording of alarm images that can be transferred to an FTP server for later viewing. The camera can send an e-mail alert to designated users and trigger its two output ports to control external devices. The three-axis lens mount allows for either wall or ceiling installation.
