Delayed Egress

Appears in the issue.

Indianapolis -based Stanley Precision Hardware has introduced the Delayed Egress Exit Device for manual touchbar exit systems. It provides a controlled exit for openings that require panic or fire-exit hardware for safe egress. When armed, the device will deny exit to unauthorized personnel for 15 or 30 seconds while sounding a local or remote audible alarm to alert security personnel. Features include fire-alarm contacts to provide immediate egress in case of fire; armed-momentary egress to allow authorized personnel to exit without alarming; nuisance-delay time, which keeps the alarm from sounding unless the bar is continually pressed; an integral key switch for locally arming, temporarily disarming, and rearming the device; and a user-friendly access panel for field-selectable settings.
