The LYNX System provides duress and emergency notification for multiple situations. Made by Micro Technology Services, Inc., of Richardson, Texas, the system allows users to place an unlimited number of computer-based panic buttons anywhere on a local network. When activated, a message is communicated to other computer screens, radios, pagers, and strobes. The alarm popups that appear on other computers can include images, maps, instructions, or live video feed from IP cameras. The system creates log files for reporting sent and received alarms. Alarms can be sent to specific groups, and weather alerts can include the live NOAA Web site. For mass notification, the system can alert individuals via text message, key radios, public announcement systems, strobes, and signs, as well as computers.
