Talk-A-Phone of Niles, Illinois, has released a new version of its ETP Series Emergency Phone Wall Mount that is designed specifically for mass transit applications. When the INFO button is pushed, the analog or IP phone automatically dials a preprogrammed number connecting any user with an operator. It also features an emergency trip button that authorized personnel can use to cut power to the track to halt an oncoming train. An all-LED blue light is housed in the device, offering visibility at long distances. When the emergency trip button is engaged, the light flashes, attracting attention to the scene.
