Energy-saving locks

Appears in the issue.

The SDC 1571 series EMLock provides 1,200 pounds of holding force using only 3 watts of power. Made by Security Door Controls of Westlake Village, California, it reduces installation costs by requiring fewer or smaller power supplies. The standard lock retrofits virtually any application with the addition of top jamb and glass-door mounting kits. All timers and sensors can be retrofitted in the field without removing the lock from the frame. All components, including the magnetic coil, can be changed in five minutes. The lock is rated at 125 mA at 24 VDC and 250 mA at 12 VDC, and it is equipped with an automatic 12/24 VDC voltage-sensing input to accommodate different system needs.
