Illuminar Inc. of Sugar Land, Texas, is now offering power over Ethernet (PoE) lighting for indoor and outdoor applications. Its White Light WL105-PoE Series and Infra-Red IR148-PoE Series offer illumination for video surveillance systems. Visible white-light illuminators are available in a range of angles to cover different scenes and illuminate distances up to 115 feet. Active or near infrared illumination is invisible to the human eye, but visible to black-and-white and day/night cameras and offers a longer range than white light—up to 1,050 feet. All illuminators are vandalproof and can be used outdoors. The hardened housings provide protection from harsh weather and rapid temperature variations. The illuminators are backed by a five-year warranty.
