RISCO Group USA of Mel­ville, New York, has added two new intelligent passive-infra­red motion detectors that can serve a variety of request-to-exit applications. The iREX detector can be mounted on the wall or ceiling, offers selectable fail-safe or fail-secure mode, and provides adjustable relay latch time. Rotating the lens position can provide a variety of coverage patterns and detection ranges. It also offers remote input for parallel door control, which can be activated by motion detection or an external device such as a card reader. The iREX Plus detector provides additional security through IQ Logic; motion detection is enabled only when an additional device has been activated. It also features door-secure mode and door-alarm mode, as well as a tamper switch that activates when the cover is opened.
