Fiber transmission products

American Fibertek, Inc., of Somerset, New Jersey, has introduced several point-to-point fiber transmission products. New contact closure systems do not require any soldering. New video transceivers offer 10-bit digital video transmission, bidirectional communications, multichannel capacity, and remote monitoring capabilities. Among the new products are 81/82SL Series 8- and 16-channel contact closure systems, which are available in single- and multimode configurations; 916 Series single-fiber bidirectional receivers; 919 Series single-fiber bidirectional transceivers, which offer two channels of bidirectional multiprotocol data plus two channels of bidirectional audio or contact closure; 941 and 981 Series single-fiber receivers for use with American Dynamic devices; 946 and 986 Series single-fiber bidirectional receivers; 91600 Series fiber multichannel system with 16-channel input and output of 10-bit digitized video; and 94887SL Series multichannel transceivers with 48 channels.
