GUARD SHELTER

B.I.G. Enterprises, Inc., of South El Monte, California, has manufactured a series of bilevel, extreme-weather booths specifically designed for border checkpoints. The booth is situated inside a large enclosure where trucks and other vehicles can be inspected despite harsh weather conditions. Guards can perform a visual inspection of vehicles at ground level and also from above without going outdoors. The prefabricated units are ballistics-resistant and contain extensive electrical infrastructure to support alarms, cameras, and communications equipment. Roof-mounted HVAC systems are supplemented by backup heat and heated floor mats.
