Horton Automatics of Corpus Christi, Texas, has introduced a telescoping ICU/CCU door system with a UL-certified smoke-rated design. The door package can provide up to 80 inches of clear opening width. It is available in custom sizes from 7 to 12 feet wide. Its trackless installation maintains a smooth floor surface. Each unit has positive latching handles for added safety and includes a smoke seal, which exceeds requirements of UL 1784 and NFPA Standard 105. The doors offer a full view of patients at all times. Two moving panels slide open and closed with one-handed operation; the company also offers smoke-rated swing doors in single and equal or unequal pairs, as well as single sliding door systems.
