Commend UK of Dunmow, Essex, United Kingdom, has launched the new Intercom 2.0 Series WS range of wall-mounted intercom stations to deliver improved audio and speech quality, reliability, and versatility. The series includes vandal-resistant units that bring together the latest in sound, vision, control, and design technologies. They can be integrated into most existing fire and security systems, including surveillance, access control, voice, public address, and emergency stations. A single CAT-5 cable incorporates voice, video, and power for ease of installation and space and energy efficiency. The units operate over Intercom over Internet Protocol (IoIP). Custom software can be easily configured via IP, so trained installers can make adjustments quickly and remotely.
