Visonic Ltd. of Bloomfield, Connecticut, has released PowerLink2, a plug-and-play broadband-IP event notification solution for advanced security and control in homes and small businesses. It can support up to 12 cameras to create a comprehensive IP-based video alarm verification solution. The easy-to-use Web interface enables service providers to offer security-related Web services, such as remote control of security systems and appliances, remote camera views, and video event messaging to e-mail and mobile phones. New features include a smaller hardware module, an improved interface that works with touchscreen mobile devices and mobile phones, improved central station reporting, remote programming of the control panel, installation diagnostics, and support of up to 12 cameras from multiple vendors.
