New high-definition IP cameras from IndigoVision of Edinburgh, Scotland, complement the company’s 8000 and 9000 range of True IP Cameras and are designed to work with its integrated IP video solution. The HD 10000 series cameras use H.264 compression technology, allowing video to be streamed at 15 frames per second and recorded for 50 days using only one terabyte of storage. Other versions will allow streaming at 30 frames per second. The unique hardware-based compression engine ensures that frames are never dropped. The cameras can be used alongside the company’s current 4SIF-resolution cameras, which use MPEG-4 and H.264 compression for a flexible solution with a wide choice of price and performance.
