IndigoVision of Edinburgh, Scotland, has developed a range of dedicated IP Dome Cameras for indoor and outdoor applications. The units are compatible with the company’s Control Center Video and Alarm Management software and its networked video recorders. The domes incorporate a Sony camera module with robust pan-tilt-zoom mechanisms, and they rely on IndigoVision’s MPEG-4 encoder technology. The domes have options for wall mounting, ceiling mounting, and flush mounting on false ceilings. They require only local power and a single CAT 5 cable connection to the network. Advanced features such as activity-controlled frame rate and camera-based analytics can be deployed in the dome itself, reducing the bandwidth and storage requirements during periods of scene inactivity.
