IP Receiver

Appears in the issue.

Bosch Security Systems, Inc., of Fairport, New York, has expanded its Information Transport Solutions portfolio with the Conettix D6100i Communications Receiver/Gateway. The unit offers low-cost IP communications for monitoring in small central stations, university campuses, or gated communities. It provides higher security than receivers that support only phone-line communications and acknowledges supervision messages from control panels to ensure uninterrupted functionality. Monitoring signals can be sent at a programmed rate ranging from five seconds to 21 minutes to accommodate different applications. If authentication and encryption algorithms detect potentially damaging activity, the central station operator is alerted. Using existing Internet or intranet structures for communications enables higher-speed transmission and helps reduce system operating costs by eliminating phone lines. The device can support up to 3,200 accounts for LAN or WAN communications, in addition to two phone lines. It offers two programmable inputs and outputs for easy connection to automation systems, programming software, and printers.
