Iris ID

Appears in the issue.

Identification and verification devices from Datastrip of Exton, Pennsylvania, can now be enabled with a scanner and supporting software to measure iris biometrics. The iris-scan technology is available for all of the company’s hand-held biometric terminals, which are also equipped with biometric fingerprinting. Because the International Civil Aviation Organization has selected iris scanning as one technology for use in biometric passports, the new iris scanner will be even more valuable in law enforcement, port security, government, and commercial applications. Because the application can be added later, existing and future customers can build and buy products that adapt as application needs change.
