Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies of Carmel, Indiana, has incorporated the W501 function into the W cylindrical lock series from Falcon Door Hardware. With the pushbutton W501 function, a button on the inside locks the outside lever until the unit is unlocked by a key or by rotating the inside lever. Closing the door releases the push button and unlocks the door. The inside lever is always free, and the entry lock uses a deadlocking latchbolt. The function is easy to use, and it is especially useful in multifamily housing and retail dressing-room applications. The function is available on the W Series Dane and Quantum solid, pressure-cast zinc levers and the Hana and Elite knobs in five finishes. An abrasive lever coating option is also available.
