SANYO Security Systems of Chatsworth, California, has introduced a new high-definition megapixel IP video surveillance camera. The VCC-HD4000 features a 4-megapixel image sensor that delivers full high-definition image quality. Image quality is enhanced through the unit’s built-in, glass, 10X HD autofocus zoom lens. The camera features H.264 compression to effectively reduce the number of cameras needed for coverage while increasing system throughput. Other features include HDMI and network interface outputs along with a standard BNC output, dual CODEC compression, face detection, an embedded Web server, power-over-Ethernet capability, and a 10/100 Base-T network interface. It also comes with a true day/night cut filter, dual alarm inputs, and a USB terminal and SD card slot for local recording and archiving.
