Mobile Surveillance

The new iGuard mobile surveillance application makes a security system’s current CCTV hardware and software infrastructure remotely accessible to all personnel. The result of a partnership between Feeling Software of Montreal, and Genetec of Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada, the system takes advantage of the wireless connectivity and intuitive touchscreen interface of the iPod Touch and iPhone. A security officer can rapidly scan through all camera locations, select a specific live camera feed, and move and zoom the camera in real time to capture a desired image. Using a slider control allows the user to watch recorded footage. The system is designed to work with Genetec’s Omnicast IP Video Surveillance System.
