The Zebra P330m can print an ID card in 5.2 seconds. The high-volume monochrome card printer was created by Zebra Technologies of Camarillo, California, especially for users who print large quantities of cards and for those who personalize preprinted cards. It also provides magnetic stripe and smart card encoding. Encoders for contact smart cards and Mifare contactless cards can be integrated in the printer to enable printing and encoding in one machine. Using single-color ribbons significantly lowers the cost of the printed card. USB and 10/100 Ethernet connectivity options allow customers to deploy and manage the printer on an enterprisewide basis. For example, a membership database can be managed centrally, while cards are printed over the WAN at each local outlet.
