Inovonics has developed a high-traffic wireless motion detector. The EchoStream EN1261HT features a detection range of up to 50 feet and offers increased immunity to radio-frequency interference, vibration, static, lighting, ambient temperature changes, and other potential sources of false activation. Assuming a typical 200 activations per day, the detector’s battery will last four years. Maintenance related to battery replacement is a concern for building operators, and this unit reduces the need for frequent battery changes.
