Panoramic Lens

Appears in the issue.

The IMV1-1/3 panomorph lens from ImmerVision of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a panoramic imaging lens that can be added to existing standard analog and IP video surveillance systems, enabling surveillance of an entire area with 360-degree coverage. It produces a larger footprint on the sensor, with 30 percent more pixels and greater viewing flexibility when compared to conventional wide-angle lenses. Users can pan, tilt, and zoom within the 360-degree image and display it as one strip, two strips, or four quad views. The company’s software development kit provides a library that allows distortion-free navigation within the image and provides digital pan-tilt-zoom viewing.
