EMS Global Tracking of Norcross, Georgia, has launched the Osprey Personal Tracker Solution, which combines hardware, airtime, and the company’s ViewPoint application services. It features two-way tracking and messaging, with the ability to track a user’s location via high-resolution, detailed maps. Users can remotely configure up to 450 predefined messages from a secure, Web-based application. The tracker unit weighs about 12 ounces, including batteries, and can be carried or mounted inside a vehicle. The geofencing feature enables near-real-time alerts when users move outside designated areas or off planned routes. The solution also features terminal-to-terminal communications and is especially useful for companies who need to ensure the safety of lone workers and traveling employees.
