A new window system from Insulgard Security Products of Brighton, Michigan, protects emergency and security workers from high winds, ballistic impacts, and other threats. The system combines the company’s TH600 alu­m­in­um architectural framing system, TOR-GARD glazing material, and Lexan sheet to meet Federal Emergency Management Agency 361-2008 requirements for debris impact resistance. It also meets UL 752 specifications for security-ballistic protection up to level 8. The window system is appropriate for protecting emergency facilities, utility control centers, and critical infrastructure.
