Reset Device

Appears in the issue.

The all-in-one IP reset device and power box from Videolarm of Decatur, Georgia, allows users to get surveillance functions back online quickly. It helps save service fees and reduces downtime resulting from lockups caused by network issues, wiring problems, and power fluctuations. The solution is available in two models—standard (PB24) and battery backup (PB24BB). The standard model is designed for direct conduit connection and provides 4 amps of power at 24 VAC. The battery-backup model provides up to 25 minutes of battery power to eliminate downtime when the main power source is disrupted. The device has two operating modes. Smart reset monitoring tracks a wireless-system or digital-camera output for changes in frequency and resets the device when changes are detected. Program reset enables the camera or wireless unit to be programmed to restart during a specified time interval.
