RFID Card Printing

Digital Identification Solutions LLC of Greer, South Carolina, is teaming with SPECSid, ThingMagic, and Vanguard ID Systems to enable customers to print and encode GEN2 RFID cards on demand and in less than one minute using desktop ID card printers. The process uses blank cards from Vanguard, which contain a GEN2 UHF inlay that can be encoded during the printing process and read from nearly 30 feet away. The enrollment and card production software is provided by SPECSid. It manages the enrollment of cardholder data, including a digital photo, then instructs a card printer from Digital Identification Solutions to encode a value into the card and personalize it with data and photo. The software communicates with a ThingMagic encoder embedded in the printer.
