Secure Iris Cameras

Appears in the issue.

IriTech Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia, has improved its line of IriCAMM iris acquisition cameras by adding powerful security features. Device-level encryption enables the cameras to encrypt images and templates after capture, ensuring security of the data at the point of origin. Device identification supplies a digital signature for each camera to support accountability and system management. The digital signature enables throughput analysis, operator performance tracking, and equipment troubleshooting, in addition to facilitating detection of fraudulent activity. Administrative certificates prevent third parties from tampering with enrollment data. Cameras are available in single-eye and dual-eye configurations with a choice of fixed or automatic focus.
