Nedap Security Management of Groenlo, The Netherlands, has added a new generic security controller and other components to its security management offerings. With the addition of standard software components, the new controller eliminates the need for separate, dedicated access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems. In addition, the company has developed a new family of antennas and readers. The InveXS series antennas (shown here) combine modern design with touch-screen functionality; the display and keypad are integrated into the touch screen. Another innovation is an IP reader that is powered by and communicates over Ethernet for a complete, one-tier solution.
