The AEOS security management system from Nedap Security Management of Groenlo, the Netherlands, can now be controlled via the iPad. Because the system is Web-based, it can be accessed from any computer with a Web browser, and a 3G connection makes it possible to connect directly to AEOS from any location, even away from a company’s network. The graphical user interface allows managers to see events and alarms, in addition to executing certain actions, such as opening doors, turning on lights, and operating a stopcock.
