The HD-Storm hurricane-rated door system withstands wind pressures of up to 80 pounds per square inch. New from Horton Automatics of Corpus Christi, Texas, the doors are designed for commercial building installations in areas affected by tropical storms and hurricanes. Each door has a heavy-duty 6- by 8-inch header with steel-reinforced tubes in the lead rails and a three-point locking system for security. Packages range from seven to 14 feet in width and are available with muntin-style or full-frame glass panels. All systems meet Miami-Dade County and State of Florida impact and pressure requirements. Standard features include weather-stripping and corner block-constructed panels with extra through-bolt reinforcement for durability. Custom options include painted and metal-clad finishes, electric lock and power-fail options, and unique configurations.
