Surveillance sensors

The Perceptor family from Night Vision Systems of Allentown, Pennsylvania, offers configurable and upgradeable modules for perimeter surveillance. It includes thermal cameras for intruder detection, an extreme low-lux camera for alarm assessment, optional pan-tilt gimbals for sightline pointing, an optional IP network interface, and an optional embedded video analytics processor. Embedding video analytics in the camera allows critical target analysis to be performed before compression for network interface, yielding better results, decreasing required network bandwidth, and lowering false alarms.
