Honeywell of Syosset, New York, has announced that its Internet Connection Module is now compatible with the VISTA alarm panel series. Using a Web interface, the module allows users to control security systems and view IP cameras from any PC or mobile device, such as a laptop, PDA, or cell phone. It can also be networked with other Internet connection modules that control lighting, heating, and ventilation. The technology offers e-mail notification, automatically sending e-mail alerts of noncritical events.
