Thermal Detector

Appears in the issue.

The Iscon Game ChangeIR from Iscon Video Imaging, LLC, of Woburn, Massachusetts, detects objects hidden under clothing for use in retail establishments and corporations. The hand-held unit uses the Thermal-Boosted Infrared Detection System that shows only objects under clothing without use of harmful radiation. It shows the thermal imprint of any plastic, paper, wood, ceramic, or metal materials, but does not reveal private body parts. The system consists of an imaging display terminal, the infrared scanner, and a platform where people stand to be checked. It folds up for storage in a suitcase and can be deployed at different locations. The patented system is also available in a larger, whole-body scanner portal for use in commercial security areas.
