ICx Technologies of Billerica, Massachusetts, has introduced the next generation of rugged thermal imagers with better protection against water and particulate intrusion. VisionIR offers a low-cost, low-power-consumption alternative for the military and commercial security markets. Imagers are customizable and feature several lens and detector options. The camera offers remote focusing capabilities or can be provided in a focus-free alternative. The camera is compatible with video analytic applications and provides a new 16 millimeter lens option for an expanded field of view. It is environmentally sealed in a nitrogen-purged housing that meets NEMA 4X and IP 66 specifications.
