Sony Electronics of Park Ridge, New Jersey, has introduced the Distributed & Enhanced Processing Architecture platform for IP-based security systems, designed to integrate cameras and recorders to improve workflow. Core intelligent video analytic capabilities help users process and respond to events. The technology frees up network and other resources to allow for more efficient, scalable systems with the potential to add intelligence. The technology enables added image-processing capabilities to reduce environmental noise the might otherwise trigger false alarms. The company’s third-generation cameras, NSR-series recorders, and RSM software are the foundation of the architecture. The system supports six video motion filters that isolate and identify a broad range of behaviors.
