The new Siqura S-60 D-MC decoder from Optelecom-NKF, Inc., of Germantown, Maryland, recognizes and decompresses video from various encoders. It automatically recognizes and creates images from MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and H.264 encoders for analog viewing with minimal latency. Using a Web interface, users can configure an array of features, including serial data streams, duplex audio, and in/out contacts over IP. With an optional SFP slot option, the decoder can be used with fiber-optic cable rather than standard twisted pair. The compact decoder is also standardized to common protocols, so integration into third-party systems is simple.
