ViconNet 4.0 is the next generation of digital video management software from Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, New York. Designed to integrate analog and digital equipment into a fully integrated, network-based system, it features a virtual matrix controller, allowing the display of video from any camera using any monitor. It enables users to view video at one rate and record at another, saving storage space. Alarm alerts can be sent via e-mail or text to PCs and PDAs, and an alarm investigation tool can call up corresponding video directly from alarm reports.
