Speco Technologies of Amityville, New York, has introduced a surveillance-recording product that requires no networking. The EZVDR4 Video Digital Recorder offers digital features with a 160-gigabyte hard drive for up to 960 hours of recording. Its simple two-page menu structure is offered in English, Spanish, and French. Use of the menu is optional except for time and date setting. It features EZ Record at the push of a button, Auto Record for plug-and-play operation at factory presets, EZ Playback/Search via pushbutton, and EZ Backup using a USB drive or USB hard drive via pushbutton. Customer support and technical support personnel can help design a system and keep it operating.
