Genetec of Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada, has released a new version of its advanced IP video surveillance solution, Omnicast 4.5. It supports a variety of video analytic solutions—such as ObjectVideo technology—as well as video devices with built-in analytics from partners including Bosch, Sony, and Panasonic. Feature enhancements include password-protected video export and support for additional camera models and camera functionalities from many manufacturers. The solution now supports ObjectVideo OnBoard, and video analytics setup is simplified by using the Omnicast client interface. The password-protected video export allows users to safely export video files with a custom encryption key. Omnicast 4.5 now offers a full IQinVision extension, providing support for the entire IQinVision camera line including the IQcameo feature.
