Web-hosted access control

ADT Security Services, Inc., of Boca Raton, Florida, has launched a new version of its ADT Select Entry Web-hosted access control service that integrates video with access control events. Access control panels are connected to the central data center via wireless or Ethernet networking to allow administrators to manage all access points at each facility over the Internet. The latest version is integrated with the Intellex Digital Video Management System from San Diego-based American Dynamics to provide a video record of individual accesses or attempts to access a building. Because it is a hosted service, it requires no on-site computer, software, wiring, or IT involvement.
